WHAT IS THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WALKING TOUR AND SUNSET TOUR?

The main difference between the tours is that the sunset tour starts later and gets back later. The sunset tour starts between 7-7:30AM in the winter time and between 9-9:30AM in the summer time. It also follows a different walking route. The GRAND CANYON SUNSET TOUR walking route begins at EL TOVAR hotel and walks EAST to Mather Point. You'll watch the sunset at YAVAPAI OBSERVATION STATION (Granger Point). The GRAND CAYON WALKING TOUR walks WEST of Grand Canyon Village and goes to HOPI POINT. The reason we do not watch the sunset at HOPI POINT is because the GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK shuttle system is too unreliable after sunset and it takes an hour to get off of the point. HOPI POINT is too far to walk back, especially in the dark!

WHICH TOURS INCLUDE THE GRAND CANYON SKYWALK?

Only the GRAND CANYON SKYWALK TOUR includes the Skywalk.  The Grand Canyon Skywalk is located on the Hualapai Indian Reservation, otherwise known as the "West Rim".  Please do not book the Grand Canyon Sunset Tour or Grand Canyon Sunset Tour if you'd like to visit the Skywalk.  Both of these tours go to Grand Canyon National Park and do not visit the West Rim Skywalk.

WHAT DO WE DO FOR DINNER ON THE SUNSET TOUR?

Most people keep half of their sandwich for dinner because they are big.  However, if you are hungry and want dinner then ask the tour guide to stp at one of the gas stations that has a Subway.  We don't mind if you get a sandwich on the go.  You'll also have the opportunity to grab a quick snack too if you don't want anything heavy.

WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?

Please vist our WHAT TO BRING page to see what you'll need for your Grand Canyon tour.  It's very important that you pack right and bring enough batteries and room on your memory cards.  You definitely want to be able to take as many pictures as possible!

CAN WE PAY CASH FOR OUR TOUR?

You can pay cash for your tour on the day of the tour but it is our policy to have a credit card on file to allow customers to pay cash for the tour.  We accept cash, credit / debit card, or travelers checks. Please call and leave leave your credit card information with us if you opt for to pay cash on the day of the tour.  You can also pay by credit card by phone too if you are uncomfortable paying online.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Please visit our cancellation policy page HERE to review our cancellation and refund policies. We require a 48 HOUR NOTICE ON ALL CANCELLATIONS. There is a $30 cancellation fee regardless of when the cancellation occurs. We do not charge a fee to change tour dates or hotels.  The reason for the fee is because we get charged multiple times by the merchant banks and credit card companies and incure a cost.  Please click REFUND POLICY to learn more about this.

The walk is easy but the altitude is what effects the people the most. We've had guests with canes take the walking tour. The trail is flat and paved like a sidewalk. We walk on the trail west of Grand Canyon Village. This part of the trail is not accessible to all of the big bus tours so we won't have 200 people at every lookout point. It is remote, quiet, and very peaceful.  The walk at the West Rim is very easy and is not influenced as much by the altitude.

HOW HARD IS THE WALK AT THE GRAND CANYON and WEST RIM?

DO YOU HAVE A TOUR MINIMUM?

We'll take anyone out that books with us, regardless of the number of people in that tour group. However, we will try to consolidate the tours if possilbe by moving people. This RARELY happens and only does when a party of 4-6 people cancels or changes dates at the last second. We'll always call each customer and let them know if we need to make this change. Again , it's very rare that this happens though.
