Grand Canyon Walking Tour

Grand Canyon WALKING Tour

Adults - $165.00, Children 10 to 18 - $145.00

*Children under ten must receive permission from us*

*Grand Canyon Walking Tours - Departs 6-6:30am, Returns 9-9:30pm*

This is easily the best Grand Canyon tour in Las Vegas and offers some of the most stunning scenery on Earth.   It’s the only tour in Las Vegas that takes you out to Hopi Point, the highest and most scenic point at Grand Canyon. Only Grand Canyon shuttle buses operated in this secluded part of Grand Canyon, where the edge of earth touches the faint, blue sky. We begin our walk at Bright Angel Lodge and follow the upper rim trail to Hopi Point.  The most amazing part of this walk is that each lookout point gets better and better until we arrive at the most stunning of them all, Hopi Point. The South Rim is 1,000 feet lower than the North Rim so the Grand Canyon looks like a screen drop against the sky. It’s absolutely stunning and surreal and will keep you breathless throughout the walk.  The best part about walking is that we’re able to feel the peace and surrealness of the Grand Canyon wisp around us. Grand Adventures is the only tour operator to offer such a cool walking tour and experience!
The walk is easy and fully guided so you won’t get into too much trouble!  The basic rule of thumb is if you don’t have trouble walking in Vegas then you won’t have trouble.  There’s also a free park shuttle that runs parallel to our walking route so people can us this and meet us at the points.  We’ll walk and visit Trail View Overlook, Flat Rock Point, Maricopa Point, Powell Point, ending at Hopi Point.

Important Grand Canyon WALKING TOUR Notes

ITINERARY NOTICE

Please note that the itinerary can change at anytime for any reason without notice due to traffic, weather, lines, and any other unforeseen circumstances. We reserve the right to change, alter, modify, or amend the timeline and tour for any reason without notice.

ALL INCLUSIVE PRICE

No sneaky resort or parking fees here! Our price includes sales tax, park entrance fees, bottled water, breakfast, lunch, and a lovely day with one of us! We don’t have any hidden  junk fees at all. Junk fees in Vegas are getting almost as guaranteed as death and taxes.

THIS IS A 15 HOUR TOUR

See what a great deal our Grand Canyon Walking Tours are with Grand Adventures?  It only breaks down to $10 an hour for the entertainment to hang out on a with us to see the awesome Grand Canyon.  This tour is especially amazing due to the remote part of the park we visit.

WE USE 15 PASSENGER FORD TRANSIT VANS

We use Ford Transit 15 passenger vans but only put ten customers in each group.  We may increase it up to twelve in the event of an emergency.  This is very rare.  The Ford vans offer great views, allow a very small, intimate tour environment, and don’t block views or communication between us.

SKYWALK NOT INCLUDED

Boo!  Don’t be upset though.  Our Grand Canyon Walking Tour takes you on such a magnificent walk along the edge of the Grand Canyon that you don’t need to worry!  The Grand Canyon skywalk will only be available on our Grand Canyon Skywalk tour that visits Grand Canyon West Rim on the Hualapai Reservation.

REFUND POLICY

We have free cancellation up to 48 hours of your departure time.  Tour cancelled within 48 hours are not eligible for a refund.  Unfortunately, people hold seats and cancel after they shop for tours in Vegas.  This prevents people from blocking tours.   We will issue refunds for validated and confirmed flight issues, family emergencies, and inclement weather changes or cancellations.

HIKER RATING 2/10

We’ll walk along the upper rim trail as we make our way to watch the amazing  Grand Canyon Walking Tour.  There are a few hills and some lookout points have have stairs.  We’ll even get to do a little off trail walking if you dare venture that far onto the edge!  Don’t get down on yourself if you huff and puff though.  It’s  not because you are out of shape; we’ll be at 7,000 feet in elevation!

NO CHILDREN UNDER SEVEN

We unfortunately do not allow children under seven without permission first.  We make exceptions for families traveling with children over ten and one or two under that age.  Grand Canyon tours are more involved with each other and the van is small and intimate.  The walk can be challenging to keep the interest of children under ten.  We do make regular exceptions to this though, especially for customers traveling from overseas and if you have a few children over ten and a few under.  We definitely can’t make exceptions for very young or infant children.

LAS VEGAS SHOWS

Please DO NOT, never-ever-ever, swear-on-a-grave, BOOK A SHOW on the same night as your Grand Canyon skywalk tour. There’s always a slight chance that your tour experience could be vastly enhanced by a non-charged bonus like a flat tire, inclement weather, accident on the freeway, or even get caught in a herd of my beloved Michigan state animals, construction cones!

SAFETY NOTE

The Grand Canyon South Rim is located at 7,000 feet above sea level.  It’s pretty easy and you won’t notice it unless we walk up stairs or small hills.  Please make sure you wear good shoes.  Never run with scissors or kick at a rattle snake either!

PICNIC LUNCH DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER

We’ll eat inside the van on the way to the Grand Canyon or inside one of the lodges if it gets too hot or cold, snowy, or rainy out on your Grand Canyon skywalk tour.

WHAT TO BRING FOR VAN RIDE

We have WIFI hotspots but there’s a bigger problem called the old jingle, “Receeeeption”. There’s a lot of dead spots going to the Grand Canyon.  Please bring a book or another forms of entertainment. It’s a very long, scenic drive to the Grand Canyon but one of the few destinations that you’ll see that actually lives up to its hype! The scenery will change 3-4 times and those who don’t choose to sleep normally talk to each other.

The Only Tour That Visits!

Picnic Lunch Menu!

The Grand Adventures Advantage!

We offer a very distinct advantage on our tours. Our groups are small, we provide meals, and make more stops since we have more time due to our small group sizes. Small group travel is very efficient and so we use that extra time to show our customers a lot more. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, value, and service so that your pictures are snapshots of fond memories.

1

3 HOURS AT GRAND CANYON

Our Grand Canyon Walking Tours allow THREE FULL HOURS at the Grand Canyon. We don’t believe in driving all that far to spend an hour there. Our tours are designed to enhance your Grand Canyon Walking tour experience. The tour guide will carry your picnic lunch in a backpack and set up lunch somewhere along the trail. We always like to remind our guests that the more you eat at lunch, the lighter their pack will be the rest of the day! They will also point out hidden lookout points, good picture spots, and explain how the Grand Canyon formed.

2

SMALL GROUPS OF TEN OR LESS

Grand Adventures specializes  in small group  tours to Grand Canyon and know that your Grand Canyon Walking Tour is only enhanced by keeping the tour groups small.  This allows us to focus on personal attention during your Grand Canyon tour.  Grand Adventures takes great pride in quality, value, and service.  We also know that smaller Grand Canyon groups bring a higher personal experience for our you. Our Grand Canyon tour guides get to interact with you more personally and treat everyone like a friend, not a number.

3

FULLY GUIDED WALKING TOUR

The guided walk on the Grand Canyon Walking Tour is easily the most stunning and surreal of our tours.  We get to take you on a walk along the upper rim trail to areas off limits to large tour buses and large tour groups.  We’ll show you all of the cool spots we’ve found over the years,  point out hidden lookout points, take pictures of your group, and explain how the Grand Canyon was formed. The Grand Canyon walking tour is about is between 2-3 hours. We allow another hour for people to explore Grand Canyon Village, look at the buildings, and do some shopping!

4

COMPLIMENTARY PICKUP & DROPOFF

We pick all of our Grand Canyon Walking Tour customers up and includes free pickup and dropoff service. 5

PHOTO STOP ON ROUTE 66

Have you seen the Disney movie “Cars”?  John Lassiter, the writer and producer of Cars, spent quite a bit of time here and many of the characters from Cars are based on REAL PEOPLE from Seligman. There was a time in America when Route 66 was the major thorough way that connect East to West. It began in Chicago and ended at the Santa Monica Pier.  It was decommissioned and removed from the maps in 1978.  A true angel named Angel Delgadillo lobbied the Arizona government to recommission it as Historic Route 66. Angel’s tireless efforts saved the remaining sections from extinction.  His actions inspired the Pixar film ‘Cars’.

6

PHOTO STOP AT HOOVER DAM

Our first stop on the Grand Canyon Sunset Tours is the Hoover Dam.  We’ll make a 10-15 minute photo stop on our way to the Grand Canyon. We stop at the lookout point closest to the dam, which overhangs the Colorado River. You’ll be surprised that the dam is much smaller then it looks on TV or in those Superman movies.

7

MCDONALD'S OR BK BREAKFAST INCLUDED

We will stop at McDonald’s for breakfast and a bathroom break on your Grand Canyon Walking tour for your dining pleasure – yum, yum!

8

PICNIC LUNCH

The Grand Canyon picnic lunch is one of the main differences between Grand Adventures Tours and other tours.  We will stop along the trail and set up lunch right on the rim of the Grand Canyon. The sandwiches are big and there is plenty of food to eat. Most people save half of the sandwich for the ride home. We do not believe in the type of hospitality that leaves people still hungry after a scheduled meal.

9

VISIT THE MOST SCENIC, SECLUDED PART OF GRAND CANYON

Grand Adventures walking tour is epic and really does expose you to some of the most stunning scenery in the world.  People always say it’s too far but the truth is we’re only four hours from the most stunning sight you’ll ever see in your life.   We walk out to Hopi Point, where the trail is quiet, smells fresh with sage, and full of beauty.
