These Route 66 Photos were taken at our stop to the Grand Canyon in Seligman, Arizona. The Grand Canyon Walking Tour and Grand Canyon Sunset Tour stops here. Our Route 66 photos are an inspiration for the Disney Pixar film ‘Cars’, which was inspired by Seligman. Route 66 is affectionately known as “The Main Street of America”, “The Mother Road”, and even “The Bloody Road”. This harsh name characterized the dangers traveling on it following the American Depression. Our Route 66 photos only characterize a small part of the charm left from that period, when everyone in America had to travel this way. Route 66 started in Chicago and ended at the Santa Monica Pier. It was originally 2,448 miles long. Today, barely 200 miles of it remain and we’re stopping on the largest section of it during our tour
